Grief
A downloadable game for Windows
Grief is a first-person psychological horror walking simulator about loss, desperation, and the mind's refusal to accept what it knows to be true.
You play as a doctor — a man who spent the final weeks of his wife's life tearing through every book, every paper, every lead he could find. The apartment shows it. Pages everywhere. Empty cups. The debris of someone who stopped sleeping, stopped eating, stopped existing as anything other than a man trying to save her.
He didn't.
Now it's the morning after. The searching is over. And he doesn't know what to do with his hands.
Chapter One: Denial is the first entry in a planned anthology of psychological horror experiences, each set inside a different stage of grief. This chapter is short — 16 to 25 minutes — but it lingers. It puts you inside a space that still smells like urgency, in a silence that hasn't caught up to what it means yet.
There is just one jump scare, no combat. There is only a man standing in the middle of everything he did, and everything it wasn't enough for.
Content warning: themes of grief, loss, and death.
